'Happy Feet Two' features inside joke on Pitt

Warner Bros.

Brad Pitt and Matt Damon voice Will and Bill the krills in "Happy Feet Two."

By Gael Fashingbauer Cooper

There's a hidden inside joke for followers of Brad Pitt's life and career in the new movie "Happy Feet Two," opening Friday.

Pitt and Matt Damon provide voices for two krill (named Will and Bill, rhymingly). The tiny shrimp-like crustaceans bounce all around the edges of the animated penguin movie, never really interacting with the fuzzy birds, but often sliding down their backs or clinging to their fur. For me, their desperate and entertaining?struggle to find the meaning of life at the bottom of the food chain?was one of the best parts of the movie.

In one scene, Damon's krill, Bill, tells Pitt's Will how much he longs for a large family.

Will's response could only have been written by a savvy screenwriter who's familiar with Pitt and Angelina Jolie's much-talked-about?six-children-and-counting family:?"I for one don't have the means to bring up so many kids."

From the disdainful tone Pitt gives the krill's voice, he's obviously in on the joke.

Look for our full?"Happy Feet" review Wednesday.
